Theatre in Education within the Northern Ireland PDMU curriculum

Our productions tell stories to educate pupils on the different themes within the PDMU curriculum by bringing them to life, right in front of their eyes.

Each production includes all sorts of Giant fun, engaging your Little Giants with magic, circus skills & live music.

Why use Theatre in Education

Educating through the medium of drama, encourages students to be curious and inquisitive. It develops their enquiry & thinking skills whilst learning in a stimulating and interactive environment. It allows students to explore challenging social scenarios and vulnerable emotions in a safe and supportive environment.

Combining this method of learning with the strands of the PDMU curriculum, gives your school and curriculum leaders greater confidence to deliver high quality lessons. The students' learning is scaffolded and encouraged through the plays they see on the day and facilitated by our followup lesson plans available with the package.

ALWAYS LEARNING

PDMU

PDMU encourages children to become personally, emotionally and socially effective. It also encourages them to lead healthy, safe and fulfilled lives and to become confident, independent and responsible citizens, making informed and responsible choices and decisions throughout their lives.

Here at Little Giant Productions, all of the productions are original and created in line with a specific theme and strand in the PDMU curriculum. We believe the best way to teach these skills, is by making them come to life.

Each play is followed by a short workshop where we can really embed the understanding and create discussions with the pupils to further develop their thoughts and ideas.

"The children engaged spontaneously. They loved every part of it. Each of the groups had a bespoke production"
